How much does Donut for Slack cost?
The Donut Slack app has a Free plan and two paid plans. What you pay depends on how many people use it and on whether you pay monthly or annually.
- Free: $0, with limits
- Standard: from $89 a month, or $74 a month billed annually
- Premium: from $149 a month, or $119 a month billed annually
- Enterprise: quoted individually, for teams of 500 or more
Paying annually costs about 17% less on Standard and about 20% less on Premium. An annual plan is paid for the year, and Donut does not refund it if you cancel partway through.
The price is based on active users, not on the size of your Slack workspace. An active user is anyone who:
- can be matched in an Intros channel
- is a member of a Watercooler or Celebrations channel
- is scheduled to receive a Journey
- has given or received a Shoutout
Each person counts once. Donut checks the count every day. If your team moves into another price band mid-cycle, Donut charges a pro-rated fee or adds a credit.
Donut Free plan
The Free plan costs $0 at any team size. It includes:
- One Intros channel that matches up to 24 people per round, in pairs only
- A choice of two pre-built intro messages
- One Watercooler channel with 12 default topics
- Birthdays and work anniversaries for up to 24 people in one Celebrations channel
- Up to 3 automated messages in a Journey
- Google Calendar, Outlook and Zoom integrations
If the Intros channel has more than 24 people, Donut picks 24 at random each round. Some people may be picked twice in a row while others wait.
