Is Donut free?
Yes, with limits. Donut's free plan introduces up to 24 people per round in one Intro channel, in pairs only, with a choice of two pre-built intro messages, and it includes calendar integration. Custom intro messages and group sizes need Standard or Premium, and a channel with more than 24 people is cycled through across rounds.
Is there a free Donut Slack alternative?
Yes. Catchup's Starter plan is free for up to 30 users in one public channel and includes custom intro messages, groups of 2 to 8, roles, auto-pause of inactive members and conversation starters. Calendar integration is on Builder ($29/mo, up to 100 users per channel) or Enterprise ($99/mo, unlimited users).
Does the Donut Slack integration work in Slack Connect channels?
Not for intros. Donut's help center says Donut Intros are not compatible with Slack Connect channels, and only its Watercooler feature can be used there. Catchup runs intros in Slack Connect channels on Builder ($29/mo, up to 100 users per channel) or Enterprise ($99/mo, unlimited users).
